Namaste my friends and teachers,
With the arrival of spring comes an inner desire to purify--mind, body, and spirit. Whether it is time to let go of toxic thinking, habits, or relationships, we can ignite the fire of our practice to help up let go and be free. Into that sacred fire we offer up what we are ready to transform, and through conscious intention we ignite our infinite potential. Yoga is about being free. Whether you are ready to free yourself from poor eating habits, self-minimizing beliefs, or the toxic need to control others, letting go is what it's all about. Spring Clean with me as I offer detoxifying, cleansing, and renewal tips in the coming months.
Meanwhile, I invite you to take a look at these amazing offerings ahead...from the always-fun One Bowl dinner to an intensive workshop on offering assists, and from the incredible May retreat in the mountains to the incredible Puerto Rico retreat this October...so many chances to connect. In addition to the events below, I will be teaching AM yoga at this year's Meadowgrass Music Festival May 27-29, which is an AMAZING time.
One Bowl: Eating as A Sacred Act
A silent community dinner at Adams Mountain Cafe
Monday, April 11th 6-9pm (doors open at 5:30)
Reservations: call Adams 685-1430

The night will include a talk by me on eating as a sacred and transformative practice as well as an intro to Slow Food by Michele Mukatis and the importance of fair trade from Yobel. The dinner is ALWAYS amazing--a menu I designed with Farley and Dave (owners of Adams) a few years back. We eat in splendid, intimate silence to enjoy our meals and one another without the usual frenetic distractions. Dessert and music by the inimitable Wayne Hammerstadt will break the silence. Please join us! Proceeds benefit Slow Food Colorado Springs! We are all fed by one bowl, one world, one community.

Join us for an inspiring and practical workshop designed to offer essential and effective training in the transformational art and dialogue of assisting. Discover a more solid understanding of alignment and form while learning specific hands-on assists for a select series of foundational postures, including a Surya Namaskar variation. Understand the fundamental power of touch and suggestion and the energetics of blending together as teacher and student. Whilst our emphasis will be on vinyasa, everything you learn in this workshop can be integrated effectively and safely into any style of yoga.
