Assisting is the subtle art of support and devotion, wherein the student is empowered to move ever deeper into their experience of yoga. Asana assists are not about correcting, fixing, or perfecting.
Join us for an inspiring and practical workshop designed to offer essential and effective training in the transformational art and dialogue of assisting. Discover a more solid understanding of alignment and form while learning specific hands-on assists for a select series of foundational postures, including a Surya Namaskar variation. Understand the fundamental power of touch and suggestion and the energetics of blending together as teacher and student. Whilst our emphasis will be on vinyasa, everything you learn in this workshop can be integrated effectively and safely into any style of yoga. Deepen and expand your ability to teach with confidence by exploring the power and potential of touch, support, and release.

Prerequisite: Appropriate for all new or experienced teachers, aspiring teachers, as well as teaching assistants who seek simply to deepen their understanding of the art of asana.
Please Bring: mat, strap, block, journal, pen/pencil, cushion/blanket, water, good quality massage lotion with gentle scent
Lunch: We will break for lunch for one hour, food not provided. Kindly make your own lunch arrangements!
