Aug 7-9
$250 for people in pain ($300 after July 20)
$350 for health professionals and Yoga teachers seeking certification ($450 after July 20)

Immerse yourself in three days of learning to live with more ease. You can sit, lay down, and move as you need, while experiencing safe effective practices to decrease your pain, and help you move with more ease. You will explore modern science-based views on pain and chronic pain, while empowering yourself with practical tools for daily pain care. These yoga techniques can be modified for all, to help wind down your nervous systems and promote positive, lasting changes in your body. Open to all levels of yoga experience.

This is not three days of the physical practice of yoga. Rather it is an experiential workshop, learning the best that we know about pain care from both a scientific view and a yogic view, while practicing techniques of breath work, body awareness, relaxation, meditation, and movement – all culminating with the creation of a daily pain care plan that will best suit YOU.

This module offers practitioners the opportunity to experience pain care practices on a personal level, and the opportunity to spend time listening to the experiences of people with persistent pain as they learn, practice and discuss pain self management technique. Equally valuable, practitioners will expand their understanding of the lived experience of pain, and the difficult task of learning to move well again in the face of ongoing pain. Yoga teachers, yoga therapists, and health care professionals wishing to enhance their work with people in pain and to complete the Pain Care Yoga certification are also welcome. We highly encourage you to sign up with your clients/students who are most in need.
