Wintering: The Art of Ritual and Rest

“Life meanders like a path through the woods. We have seasons when we flourish and we have seasons when the leaves fall from us, revealing our bare bones. Given time, they grow again.”
~From Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times, by Katherine May.
Although not required, we highly recommend reading this book prior to class. Megan and Alesia will guide our offering from themes within this book. We will define and integrate Yogic and Ayurvedic philosophies that are threaded throughout Wintering and use these themes to explore self awareness practices through breath work and gentle movements that support embodied rest and a wintering practice that nourishes you through your seasons.
According to the principles of Yoga and Ayurveda, your experiences matter and they are the matter of you. This class will help cultivate your life practice in the support of authentic community.
Our offering is intentionally placed in the first three weeks of November as our the light fades and we are invited into the darkness and the natural rhythms of life.
Each session is accessible in person or online and will be recorded. Recordings will be available to you through February 02, 2026 – Imbolc – the next season of change.
Please join us from 5:30-7:00pm, November 06, 13, and 20 to connect and restore.
